Summer Reading Check-in

How are you doing with the books and packets? Please comment on this post and tell us 1) how far you have gotten so far - be honest! No points off for not being "far enough," I just want to know. Which book did you start with? And 2) how it's going for you - easy to read? hard? boring? fascinating? any questions about anything in the packets? So who's got an opinion about either book? why's it called that?

Our blog is called "assiduously" because I just like that word, and because I feel like it captures something about the way I want us to be this year in our AP class. Yes, it will be a challenge (for me too!) - but we are going to "sit beside" our discomfort with this, push through it, keep going, struggle struggle struggle, think and write and work assiduously, and we will emerge triumphant on the other side!
